The Hayne Plane has morphed into a B-52 and dropped a metaphorical bomb on the NRL, Parramatta and Australia’s Four Nations preparations.

Having been in the states checking out NFL facilities in the week building up the Dally M Awards, Hayne was subject to some NFL type testing, and apparently he cleaned up. A physical specimen of a fullback in the NRL, he took his talents to North America and strutted his stuff.

The two-time Dally M Medal winner, Hayne put pen to paper to explain his actions to the Parramatta faithful saying over the last 24 months he had been looking into giving the NFL a crack and even more of a serious crack over the last year. Hayne goes on to say he knows that he has signed a ‘lifetime’ agreement with the Eels and if he does return to the NRL then it will be for the blue and golds.

Having given no indication of who he will be trialling with or for what position he will be attempting to play, Hayne dropped the bomb on the Kangaroos and Eels coaches last night.

His immediate withdrawal from the Four Nations team almost certainly hands Greg Inglis the number 1 jumper and may just open the door for another rookie, perhaps Matt Moylan to impress.
