Danger hungry for love and attention
Dane Nielsen has question marks over him every time he sets foot on the field, and now there are even bigger question marks over him as he has been caught allegedly biting a female while out of the turps over the weekend been.
It’s said that a few of the St George players went out at a Cronulla night spot and surprisingly ran into the Cronulla Sharks players. Witnesses say Nielsen was far too intoxicated to be in the pub, but like anyone who has been to pissed to be in a night club, successfully lied to the bouncer on the door.
Nielsen is said to have been chatting up the woman and then tried to take a chunk out of her thigh. From there, he saw Ben Barba at the bar buying drinks. Nielsen then tried to steal his drinks a couple of times, before he did get them and threw them back over the bar-keeps head.
While he was walking around, cutting shapes and spitting on the floor like one of those annoying funny drunk people the St George and Cronulla players left the bar. Nielsen was then kicked out and met up with his mates across the road.
Another witness said he then got into an altercation with Barba with which Barba hit the ground and grasped at a knee and shoulder. The team members standing around quickly intervened. Barba then shrugged them off and walked away. It appears he has learnt his lesson. Nielsen on the other hand has not. He is now being investigated by the NRL’s Integrity Unit.
Nielsen has been stood down for this weekends game for breaking team protocol, and if the allegations are true and the Integrity Unit find something else, he could be sitting down for a little bit longer.
